Landis+Gyr EMEA Devices team is seeking a Firmware Engineer. The Devices team, primarily working for EMEA region, is made up of electrical and software engineers and is responsible for the electronics/SW/FW in our products. We support the development of new technologies and products and work closely with other global teams across Landis+Gyr. As a Firmware Engineer for high-volume global smart energy solution devices, you should be capable of:-

• Independently Design, develop, implement, debug and maintain embedded real time applications.
• Responsible for design and implementation of new device features on multiple platforms
• Responsible for the maintenance of current software including: feature enhancements, performance increases, troubleshooting, testing, and bug fixing.
• Collaborate with multi-functional and global teams
• Improve quality, efficiency and innovation drive in the team. Develops ways to improve technical methodology, processes, and products within work group.

Collaborate with other teams for knowledge sharing and own initiatives for knowledge sharing practices
Job Requirements: Overall 1.5+ years of experience in design and development of embedded systems Experience and hands-on coding experience in C++ & C. Experience in handling projects with 16/32 bit microcontrollers from any one or more makes such as Renesas, TI, ARM. Experience in communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, USB, Ethernet. Experience in communication technologies such as LTE, 2G/3G and RF-Mesh is a big plus Experience in working with RTOS, preferably threadX.is a big plus Knowledge of any Configuration Management System such as TFS and Requirement Management tools would be an added advantage. Hands-on experience in various phases of the firmware development lifecycle preferably on energy devices including troubleshooting/debugging with tools like oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer. Developing technical specifications, Proof Of Concepts, evaluating prototypes and making recommendations, defining program scope, driving design / engineering reviews are part of the job responsibility. Good to have experience in developing embedded software for Smart Energy products. Experience in Agile Process, TFS, Azure DevOps is a big plus Professional Experience (years)- 1 to 3 years Expertise in C/C++ and microcontrollers mandatory.
