General Summary:

• Title: Engineer
• Job function:

• Candidate would perform Qualcomm Chipset Performance Testing and evaluation with the competition chipset, PT targets & Android OTA Test ownership, Regression test suite execution, initial triage for the failures and works with technology teams for fixing the issues.
• Application processor & System level Performance testing & issue triaging : Expertise in Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Estimation, developing test cases, automating the tests, test case execution, test report generation, represent perfDB in core meeting or any forum and troubleshooting/analyzing problems.
• Candidate will conduct performance tests (Benchmark,UI/UX, IO,Games,Memory) and detailed in depth analysis(cpu utilization, gpu utilization, memory usage, cache impact) of failures.
• Candidate will be able to work with a cross functional teams.
• Successful candidate must have strong problem-solving skills ,communication skills, very good time management skills, must be an effective team player, and be able to work with minimal guidance.

• Skills/experience:

• 1-2 years of experience, Python, Android Software Testing, OS concepts, Android/Linux Fundamentals.
• Excellent triage and system level debugging skills working in test embedded systems. Earlier experience in test automation is a plus
• Strong Scripting (Python/Perl) and C/C++ programming skills.
• Strong knowledge on Android Frameworks, CPU performance Benchmarking APKs, Linux Kernel and Android debugging tools like Systrace.
• Detail oriented, thorough and analytical approach required with excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn & mentor on new technologies. Ability to closely work with Internal Test teams and external teams.
• Ownership of tasks and ability to work in large teams.

• Bachelor's - Computer Science, Electronic & Communication
• Masters - Computer Science, Electronic & Communication

Minimum Qualifications: . Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.

• 3+ years of experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans, and tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).
• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
