Position profile : Engineer / Sr. Engineer -AO This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires professional mastery of a specialized field of expertise that typically requires a college degree or equivalent. The job requires professional knowledge gained through substantial applicable work experience, to supplement formal knowledge, In order to apply principles and concepts of own subject/technical discipline in resolving issues as they arrive. The job requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of information. This job typically requires a degree (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent and a minimum of 3 -8 years\' experience. What you will do Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with the Stryker new product development procedures. Ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications. Will assist in the selection of components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements. Work with quality engineers to develop component specific testing and inspection protocols. Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation associated with Design transfers and launches. Work with supplier and setup the required process with V&V. Carryout the detailed process study and relevant process / quality checks, Ensure process behaviour is adherence to the stryker quality requirements. Setup the supply chain between manufacturer, GQO & Buying center. Conduct MSA studies for new products and new processes. Ensure adherence to GMP and safety procedures as applicable in industry.. Good knowledge of computer applications and excellent presentation skills. Skills & Experience - Experience on Mechanical engineering process and material like Machining, Sheet metals, welding, laser markin etc. Experience in PPAP,DFM, Supplier development. Understanding on Quality Management (ISO 13485 or 21 CFR 820) Understanding on Medical Device Risk Management Understanding of Medical Device Design Controls & Change Controls Understanding of New Product Development (NPD) Cycle Experience with project management with Microsoft Project. Ability to influence, motivate and lead the cross functional team. Ability to coach team members and develop them in role. Project management experience and experience to lead & achieve global process improvement efforts. Experience of working with multiple teams and collaborating across geographically spread multi-functional teams. Engineering Tool One PLM, CAD, Microsoft project Education BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Bio Medical / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or related field from premier institutes Experience 3 -8 years of experience in Medical Device / relevant domain with good exposure in process setup.
