Job Description

Position Purpose:
Implement engineering activities (design, implementation, maintenance, etc.,) within technical area of expertise by using reliable and efficient technical solutions, ensuring technical quality to enable the overall site / project objectives.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategy & Organizational Development:
1. Support internal and external audits
2. Own the Training Curriculum for own Job Profile
3. Lead or chip in to equipment, utility, facility improvement projects (e.g. energy, efficiency, productivity, environmental compliance, maintenance)
4. Develop & implement standards

  • Maintenance:
5. Get permits for maintenance / projects
6. Implement FMEA and define the maintenance type for each asset; assess equipment criticality (HML)
7. Build / maintain / verify engineering documents (protocols, drawings, lists, schedules, diagrams, layouts, calculations, datasheets)
8. Handle the Technical Change Control.
9. Implement system and equipment optimization (e. g. TPM, IQP, energy savings)
10. Coordinate Housekeeping activities

  • Project Engineering & Control:
11. Develop Project Cost Estimation & Value Improvement Review
12. Identify technical solutions.
13. Prepare project procurement plan, perform project tendering and procurement.
14. Perform project HSE management & implement project safety stops/reviews.
15. Perform project evaluations (e.g. Technical Quality Review (TQR), constructability).
16. Prepare Equipment Specifications and System Requirements in project (e.g. User Requirement Specification)
17. Prepare / implement Project Health & Safety Risk Assessments (Equipment / Process)
18. Prepare Functional Specifications in project Prepare, review and approve drawings, lists, schedules, diagrams, layouts, calculations and datasheets in project.
19. Issues orders / contracts based on Project Technical Specifications and Bills of Quantities.
20. Expedite and lead project vendors / contractors / 3rd parties in project.
21. Develop test specification / plan for commissioning & qualification in projects.
22. Perform new equipment FAT / SAT / inspections in project.
23. Perform commission activities.
24. Manage project deficiencies and deviations

  • (Re-) Qualification:
25. Perform GMP risk assessments
26. Create DQ, IQ and OQ protocols
27. Implement DQ, IQ and OQ
28. Build DQ, IQ and OQ reports
29. Provide technical trouble shooting during PQ and validation

Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • The highest Qualification should be Degree in engineering or equivalent with min 8+years of engineering experience thereof 2 in investment projects in Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent Project Management and Outstanding technical knowledge with demonstrated ability to deliver safe, effective and fully compliant projects / solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to effective present complex ideas and solutions to executive management, technical experts and regional / local teams.
  • Broad internal & external network.
  • Extended HSE and GxP/QA knowledge, Functional Breadth
  • Project Management
