Job Responsibilities Position Purpose: To lead the engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel in order to ensure a high standard of building, machinery, plant, furniture, fixture and equipment in all the departments. Achieve total guest satisfaction and organizational profitability through effective utilization of all resources. . Managerial Responsibilities Implement systems and procedures that ensure safety of yours, guest, employees, plant, machinery and property. Work scheduling and allocation of duties. Assist in developing systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction in line with the company\'s Facilitate learning and development for all the team members of the department. . Operational Responsibilities a.Achieve high level of guest satisfaction through successful preventive maintenance program. b.Prompt trouble shooting and ensure allocated jobs are carried out efficiently and promptly c.Implement upgradation and replacement programme for engineering systems and equipment. d.Execute the energy conservation programs monitor HLP consumption on a daily basis e.Ensure that all the engineering & maintenance activities/systems adhere to the standards/efficiency/productivity levels that have been set for the unit. f.Recommend changes in processes, materials and equipment, in order to enhance service levels and improve the operational efficiency. g.Responsible for maintaining the physical plant and monitor the operating efficiency of the plant. h.Maintain the fire safety system through regular inspection of fire alarm and sprinkler system. i.Follow up job / work order and make periodic checks of completed repair and maintenance work to ensure that the established standards have been met. j.Co-ordinate with Executive Housekeeper, Front Office Manager and other HODs on preventive maintenance of rooms and other repair work. k.Maintain the complaint management & work request system and ensure timely response to all the complaints and maintenance requests. l.Ensure timely receiving of material & spares as per the standardized specifications. m.Ensure that the government regulations for boilers, electrical installation and environment are strictly followed. n.Keep informed of industry innovations and advances in technical and property management fields. o.To abide with all Safety, Health & environment policies of the company. p.Any other job assigned by chief engineer or any other authorized person . Requirements a. Knowledge/Skills i. Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil and related equipment and working knowledge of all other plant, equipment and utilities. ii. Energy & environment conservation techniques iii. Knowledge of building management system, work request systems, fire alarm and sprinkler systems etc. iv. Working knowledge of MS Office v. Knowledge of statutory compliances related to electrical fittings, boilers etc. b. Education Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering / 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering c. Experience Progression through various positions in the Engineering department, and a minimum of 4-5 years experience in the Engineering & Maintenance function. Job Requirements Knowledge/Skill i. Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil and related equipment and working knowledge of all other plant, equipment and utilities. ii. Energy & environment conservation techniques. iii. Engineering inventory management & Capital Budgeting. iv. Knowledge of Automated building management system, work request systems, fire alarm and sprinkler systems etc. v. Working knowledge of MS office, MS projects and Auto CAD preferable. vi. Knowledge of statutory compliance related to electrical fittings, boilers etc. Education Degree in Engineering - (Electrical/Mechanical) Experience . Progression through various positions in the Engineering department, and a minimum of 5 - 8 years experience in the Engineering & Maintenance function.
