Every FACTS solution is tailored and designed based on a project-by-project assessment of the customers\' individual requirements, whether it\'s for connecting offshore wind generation, long distance power transmission, or energy trading between independent networks.
Within this cross-centers and multicultural organization, the Sr. lead/ lead engineer (HMI/ SCADA) is accountable to design optimized FACTS substation automation that integrate all the required equipment considering their installation, operation, and maintenance constraints.
This position will report directly to local Team Leader and functionally to the Engineering team leader - Control HW



Roles and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Convert project contractual documents into requirements and technical specifications related to your function
• Define and/or control planning for the project, ensuring on-time delivery of your deliverables
• Release department\xe2\x80\x99s deliverables as per project schedule, and cost without non-conformity
• Lead the design engineers/designer for the assigned project(s)
• Design for SCADA & HMI related work packages includes specification, system architecture, configuring protocols as individual contributor.
• Managing the Interface with other disciplines/suppliers/cross-functions
• Answer to client, partners & suppliers technical queries related to your function
• Organize and perform projects design/gate reviews related to your function & support other disciplines\xe2\x80\x99 ones when required
• Perform risk and opportunity analysis for the assigned projects
• On-site visits requirement (during pre-com/commissioning stage support or client meetings as when required)
• Support continuous improvement within function/engineering discipline

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or related discipline
• Strong knowledge in substation international standards & guidelines (IEC, CIGRE\xe2\x80\xa6) and related equipment
• Strong knowledge on contract and project management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), or Engineering equipment package (EEP) type
• Proficient with HMI Software\xe2\x80\x99s
• Hands-on experience for pre- commissioning/ commissioning
• Must have design & implement switchgear Interlocking
• Good understanding of protocol engineering
• Leadership (management by influence), analytical mind, rigorous and commitment,
• Professional English spoken and written

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

• You will have already some working experience in an international environment, but above all we expect you to be a self-starter with high level of flexibility, resilience and self-learning attitude.
• Knowledge of HVDC/FACTS / High Voltage substations will be an added advantage.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Good working Knowledge of MS Office application such as MS Excel, MS Word etc.
• Strong communication skills, Team Player, Good work Ethics and sense of urgency
