This is what we do in Geometrical Architecture for Cab Engineering.

Before starting the detailed design, we create a plan and a blueprint for using a limited geometrical area to best meet our customer\'s demands. We also make sure that our following product can support foreseeable future upgrades, adapt to new technologies, and meet upcoming trends in the industry. We design areas with purpose and actively work with cross-functional teams to create the best cabs for our customers in the heavy transport industry.
Cab Architecture is the expert team for the complete cab solution. We are part of Cab Engineering, which develops and maintains the complete cab and exterior components including Body-in-White, Cockpit and Sleeper areas, Exterior panels, and Hood/Bumper systems.

JOB SUMMARY
As an Engineer in Cab Architecture, you will be part of team that leads the development of geometrical areas in projects and secure cross-functional balanced and verified areas. You will be heavily involved in projects from early pre-studies all through development and interact with stakeholders from all over the organization to meet or balance their demands on the future product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proposing solutions for complete offer scenario/packaging to meet application, customer and cross functional requirements
• Analysing and proposing common solutions to maximize common parts (Common Architecture & Shared Technologies)
• Drive A and B interfaces and DMU processes.
• Reach quality and maturity targets on the Geometrical deliverables, and escalate when needed
• Plan Geometrical deliveries to meet the project overall geometrical time-plan
• Review of virtual trucks and maintain DMU quality as per project targets.
• Manage geometrical discussions and drive for a balanced and agreed technical solution,
• Support the Product Structure team in creating the Base Product Specification when it comes to geometrical restrictions and variant limitations
• Provide required geometrical interface description of cab unique systems including electrical routing, bodybuilder applications, and accessories
• Delivering quality secured geometry
• Interface between product design and engineering teams to deliver quality Technical Inputs and DSMs.
• Sharing input regarding geometrical matters to stakeholders (Global Manufacturing, Aftermarket, and the commodities (ex. Cab, Chassis, Electrical, Powertrain)
• Tracking and communicating all geometry related issues/activities

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Masters or bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in product development projects within the automotive industry.
• Proficient in Catia V5, PDMLink. Experience with PTC Creo preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Kola required, other product documentation systems a plus.
• Previous experience in automotive packaging or mechanical systems engineering, Automotive, or Transportation industry experience preferred
• Concept evaluation experience in tools such as QDCCF, Pugh Matrix, or similar
