Position Summary with Job Responsibilities Purpose of the position a) \'Designed Engine\' needs to be calibrated through EMS ECU and needs to be tested on engine and vehicle - To comply with all regulatory OBD and Emission norms. - To achieve engine level performance & vehicle level performance - Integration of engine on vehicle for optimum vehicle performance This position gives confirmation on all important testing parameters required for considering optimum performance of engine that can finally be delivered for vehicle production b) 1.If this position does not exist there will be concerns for regulatory compliance of engine 2. There will not be anyone to support the vehicle during its lifecycle 3. Engine won\'t be able to give an optimum performance With increased electronics onto the base engine architecture and exhaust after-treatment systems, the position has become extremely important to ensure balance on legislative & customer requirements often falling into technical trade-offs. Key Responsibility & Key Tasks On Board Diagnostics - calibration, testing and implementation to meet regulatory compliance. Engine combustion optimisation for performance, fuel consumption and emissions Engine calibration as per desired performance on engine test cell / vehicle Education B Tech BE( Electrical/Electronics) Work Experience Relevant Experience : Min 3 years of experience in engine calibration Technical Skills 1. Sound knowledge on OBD , Engine and engine sub-systems 2. Thermodynamic aspects of engine performance 3. Awareness on automotive control systems theory & basic electronics 4.
