What success looks like in this role:

2 -4+ years of experience in Models and applies software or systems engineering methods and techniques to the design, definition, development, evaluation, integration, qualification and/or support of complex products, tools, or technologies in one or more areas of expertise.

May work independently or cooperatively with other engineers, often assuming technical and project leadership roles.

Considered a technical authority in a knowledge domain and may function as a technical consultant or researcher.

C/C++ System Programming

Hands on Network/Socket programming.

Knowledge in Protocol implementation.

Team player & Communication (Written & Oral)

Experience having worked on product(s) in files system (SMB /CIFS) is desirable.

Experienced in Protocol Analyzer tools like Wireshark, netmon etc

Technical Expertise in technologies such as Assembly language, PASCAL, COBOL.

Knowledge in all the above technologies is desirable.

Windows Programming skills (VC ++, COM)

Windows services

You will be successful in this role if you have:

2-4 years of experience within a product organization with high level expertise in a specific solution/technology

Strong programming experience on C/C++ and related technologies

Willing to learn Unisys proprietary languages Algol, NEWP

Good communication skills

Strong on design, implementation, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Deep knowledge of Product engineering life cycle

Well-versed with software estimation techniques and design patterns

Fix defects in broad areas of code.

Solve complex problems with some assistance. Assist others.

Review external customer User Communication Forms (UCF's) for specific products and update or create new test cases as appropriate.

Qualifications

BE/ME/MTech Preferably Computer Science

Understand Product Life Cycle management in a systems engineering environment, with focus on agile methodologies.

Ability to work in a global team, with multiple stakeholders across functions and geographical regions

Ability to communicate task, requirements, design information with clients

Knowledge of Engineering Concepts

Proactive, analytical and capable of influencing and providing decision support

Initiate discussions both within and outside the extended team. Resolve issues. Escalate issues as and when required.

Estimate, plan and manage multiple concurrent tasks or small/sub project. Capture actual efforts in status reports. Report, submit and track defects in programs.

Analyze technical requirements in area of expertise and inputs to proposed solutions.

Conduct technical feasibility studies with assistance.

Design components of products, solutions or test cases at product level. Write product specifications, design documents or test plans. Participate in the identification of the testing configuration for the overall solution

Implement components of products or solutions. Implements complex features or test cases. Prepare user documentation or provide inputs for creating user documentation as required. Develop quality components and ensure that created module meets all performance, quality, reliability and functional requirements by analyzing and debugging issues. May be required to modify any written code as necessary.

Develop test plans for assigned products, product areas, or solutions. Write/run tests.

Review design specs and develops plan for testing a product. Lead system set-up and maintenance efforts.

In-depth analysis and debug of problems. Recommend suggested solutions to problems. Proficient in the analysis of diagnostic traces. Assist vendors in problem resolution.

Fix defects in broad areas of code. Solve complex problems with some assistance. Assist others. Review external customer User Communication Forms (UCF's) for specific products and update or create new test cases as appropriate.

Handle Contacts and UCF's in multiple product areas. Expedite resolutions. Identify product supportability improvement opportunities.

Coordinate effectively in virtual teams. Understand regional cultural considerations and form tight working relationships.

Expected to learn new technologies and continue to expand expertise.

Participates in Innovation activities by commenting and generating ideas. Can lead a small team working on an innovative idea.
