EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university and 47 years' experience or in lieu of degree, 10+ years of progressive experience in relevant industry. Candidates with the following will also be considered: Specialized courses in Automation. Work Experience in similar capacity with thorough understanding of the job. Project execution experience would be an added advantage Experience implementing, administrating, and supporting Mechanical Engineering applications will be given preference. Prior EPC experience in implementing, supporting, installation, configuration and customization of Engineering applications is preferred. Relevant experience with the background of Mechanical Engineering in Energy, Power, and related industries will be an added advantage. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Provides application technical support to Engineers on the project, interfaces directly with project and provides solutions to reported problems and to situations presented. Responsible for the implementation of Mechanical Applications and deployments on projects across all GBU's. Responsible for interfacing with projects across all Bechtel GBU's to collect functional requirements. Coordinate development of the next generation of tools with our existing projects and current tool sets. Conduct comprehensive testing and quality assurance in software releases. Works with projects and Corporate EPC Functions, Engineering Function/Management to resolve technical and work process issues. Provide backup support for other Mechanical applications. Staying current with new technologies that will benefit Bechtel and applying them where appropriate. Coordinate and conduct Mechanical Engineering applications and other application training and roll out to project sites. Role will also include devising innovative approaches to problems encountered to provide solutions to the customer and or enhancement of the tool/application. Coordinate with the Mechanical Automation Lead to support application end users for managing processes for the complete project life cycle. Coordinate with project teams to ensure Project automation plans comply with BSAP standards Support end user training for Mechanical applications Documentation and understand all integration points with external systems. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Should have knowledge of administration activities/ Support of Oracle Agile and other Mechanical applications. Should have sound knowledge of Mechancial Engineering and Design and Work Process. Should have relevant experience in EPC industry. Knowledge of Integration applications like Inspec, DataBroker, SPI, SPEL and SPF (Smart Plant Foundation) is desirable. Understanding of Data exchanges and integration. Ability to troubleshoot dataflow issues within applications. Knowledge of Adapters and APIs for data integration with other applications Eg. Inspec, SPI, SPEL, Aconex, SPPID Knowledge of Advanced Work Process Procedures (AWPPs). Grade 23 4 -6 years of industry experience Grade 24 7 -10 years of industry experience
