Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more

Job overview and responsibilities

Cabin Systems engineering is responsible for the maintenance and modification of the electrical systems inside the passenger cabin. We provide support and engineering services for lighting, in seat power, cabin communication, seat back entertainment, and Cabin WIFI. We work closely with internal United customers as well as external suppliers to improve reliability and implement new features.

Requirements

\xc2\xb7 B.S. Degree in Electrical or Aerospace engineering

\xc2\xb7 Engineering skill sets which can be applied to a range of aircraft systems

o These skills include, but are not limited to, analysis of complex technical issues, highly detailed level project development/management for regulatory compliance modifications, and overall ownership of specific systems

o Additional skills will include the ability to read complex wiring diagrams, and other aircraft maintenance manuals.

\xc2\xb7 Successful candidate will also understand detailed cost/benefit analysis of projects, as well as effectively engaging stakeholders cross-functionally

\xc2\xb7 Candidate must be available for a minimum of 20% travel outside of office to cover for aircraft pilot projects

\xc2\xb7 Successful candidate will also have exhibited effective communication skills and operational focus

Qualifications

Required

• B.S Degree in Engineering, related technical field or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of engineering experience
• Engineering skill sets which can be applied to a range of aircraft cabin systems
• For service engineering positions, these same technical skills are applied towards operational issues versus project specific work
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues
• Detailed level of project management for regulatory compliance modifications
• Excellent verbal and technical writing skills needed
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
