For more information, visit www.gf.com.Summary of Role: Specifically this engineer will interface with RF circuit design teams all over the world to develop Advantest 93K schematics using 2d and 3d mmWave simulation tools. Design custom test boards to test their mmWave radar and RF transceivers using the Advantest 93K. They will be a part of an experienced mmWave test development group responsible for the development of mmWave test solutions for custom RF IC\xe2\x80\x99s fabricated in GF\xe2\x80\x99s technologies and used in the auto, space and consumer mmWave transceiver market placeEssential Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 Use system design tools like Cadence Allegro to create Advantest 93K mmWave test board\xc2\xb7 Write test programs in Java, Smart test 8 on the Advantest 93K wave scale RF test system\xc2\xb7 Leverage the latest in mmWave components, cables and assemblies to design custom RF measurement circuits.\xc2\xb7 Interface with external customers to understand RF test requirements and characterize next generation RF ICs.\xc2\xb7 Program custom hardware on Advantest 93K test equipmentOther Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.\xc2\xb7 Analyze RF electrical data to understand test accuracy, stability, and repeatability.\xc2\xb7 Use mmWave bench equipment to debug custom designed RF test boards.Required Qualifications:\xc2\xb7 Education \xe2\x80\x93 MSEE, PhdEE or Phd Physics in mmWave design or a related field.\xc2\xb7 Experience \xe2\x80\x93 3+ years experience programming an Advantest 93K test system using the wavescale RF test cards\xc2\xb7 Skills in mmWave simulation, RF circuit debug, data analysis.\xc2\xb7 Fluency in Java or python programming, Smartest 8 programming\xc2\xb7 Travel - Up to 10%/year\xc2\xb7 Fluency in English Language \xe2\x80\x93 written & verbal.\xc2\xb7 Physical Capacity Demands \xe2\x80\x93 ability to use RF lab equipment such as scopes, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers to probe RF board level circuit boards.\xc2\xb7 100% on site position at Bangalore, India development centerPreferred Qualifications\xc2\xb7 Education \xe2\x80\x93 Phd EE in mmWave System level design\xc2\xb7 Experience \xe2\x80\x93 Hands on experience debugging Advantest test applications.\xc2\xb7 Skills - Experience using the Wave scale RF cards at 18GHz or greater\xc2\xb7 2+ years experience in Java programming\xc2\xb7 Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.\xc2\xb7 Strong written and verbal communication skills.\xc2\xb7 Strong planning & organizational skills.An offer with GlobalFoundries is conditioned upon the successful completion of pre-employment conditions, as applicable, and subject to applicable laws and regulations.GlobalFoundries is fully committed to equal opportunity in the workplace and believes that cultural diversity within the company enhances its business potential.
