Introduction

This full-time Engineer will interface directly with GlobalFoundries customers to create custom manufacturing test solutions. This engineer will create test requirements, design hardware, debug test hardware and write Java test programs on Advantest 93K tester. Also, able to test logic, wafers, or packaged devices. The engineer will interface with external customers to understand requirements for testing their integrated circuits on wafers fabricated in GlobalFoundries factories worldwide. The engineer will develop test solution using a commercial Advantest 93K Tester with the Wavescale option using Java programming. The engineer will work in a highly skilled team of MS and PhD EE, CS and ME engineers worldwide inventing and continuously improving our systems for testing semiconductors.

Your Job:

• Communicate with our Customer's engineering staff on the product requirements for testing their logic components.

Understand the basic design of logic & mmWave circuits and the electrical equipment required to measure those circuits.

Design test circuit boards using Cadence Allegro, which will interface between the device under test and the test equipment.

Write test programs using Java in a Linux environment to test the circuits.

Ability to highlight risks & mitigation plan in timely manner.

Stimulate continuous improvement workgroups, to improve our test methodologies and test efficiency.

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

Education - BS or MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

5 year experience developing test solutions for the Advantest 93K Test platform.

5 year experience programming the Advantest 93K in C++ using Smart test 7.

2 Years' Experience Designing or developing test solutions for semiconductor devices.

Takes initiative and can operate independently.

Balances strategic vision with strong execution.

Strong Java Programming skills in Linux environment.

Excellent communication skills and demonstrate the desire to tackle diverse challenges.

Travel - (10% travel required).

Language Fluency - English.

Physical Capacity Demands - ability to use a computer.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of ADS momentum or equivalent RF circuit simulation tools.

PhD EE in RF engineering.

Experience programming in a Linux environment.

Experience designing RF circuits.

Hands on experience with RF matching and RF test equipment.

Knowledge of R or equivalent data analysis software.
