Job Description

Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility with various insurance providers. Document and accurately update patients' insurance and demographic details in the applicable EMR or practice management system. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve eligibility issues or discrepancies. Interpret insurance policy details to determine coverage applicability and inform patients of their financial responsibility. Handle pre-authorizations and pre-certifications as required by insurance policies. Familiarity with medical terminology and billing codes (CPT/ICD-10-CM) Understanding of various insurance plans (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance) Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company/industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 1 year of experience Detailed oriented knowledge of Utilization Review, eligibility and benefits, Prior Authorization/Pre Certification. Software - EPIC, TEBRA, CHARM, DR CHRONO, NEXTGEN FUSION
