Job Description

Design electronic hardware and ensure it complies with specifications. Perform printed circuit board (PCB) layout and ensure it is accurate. Provide Hardware Electronic engineering support as required. Develop schematics, layout, perform power and signal integrity analysis, simulations, testing and validation reports of sub-modules like power converters, BMS, motor drives, valve drives, display interfaces, processors, memories and communication interface modules. Create, maintain and update engineering related aspects (e.g. parts, bill of materials) of the material requirements planning (MRP) system. Assist in selection and procurement of electronic components whenever required. Ensure components, processes and products are designed to maximise effective manufacture and efficiency requirements. Ensure the documentation of products and packing lists is accurate and well-maintained. Develop systematic approaches and guidelines for product development with other departments for designing, testing, reporting, part selection, etc. to achieve better results for the entire product engineering team Skills Required Successful track record in hardware design & development for complex electromechanical end products, right from concept to production Experience in Hardware design and development experience in Analog, Digital and Embedded Systems Product Development Familiarity with a wide variety of hardware design, like power electronics, high speed digital electronics, FPGAs, processors, memory interfaces, motor control, etc. Experience with handling EMI/EMC issues, signal integrity issues Experience with ECAD packages like Altium Designer, PADS, OrCAD, HyperLynx, Cadence, Eagle, etc. Exposure to PCB Designing, protocols like I2C, SPI, etc. Basic experience with embedded programming is a must A good understanding of structured projects and engineering methodologies Ability to work well in a group, sharing ideas and problem solving Adept at using laboratory instruments like Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Function Generator, etc.
