Stantec is looking for an Electrical Designer who can contribute to the ongoing growth of Stantec Resource Net India Private Ltd by providing technical expertise in the Electrical discipline, as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering conceptual design, outline design, detailed design, and construction support for Substation design and Engineering experience related to AIS & GIS. The Electrical Designer role conducts and supports the delivery of complete Electrical detail design drawings associated with an energy (power generation/distribution etc.) Key Accountabilities: Review the input received from the client and understand the scope of work and then plan work accordingly without changing design intent. Good understanding of the Vendor submittal drawings. Preparation of Substation Single Line Diagrams & Operating Diagrams (Optional). Preparation of Electrical Layouts Plan & Sections / Overall layouts Preparation of Control Building / GIS Building Layouts Preparation of Cable tray and trenches layouts Plan & Details for Trench & Conduits. Preparation of Lighting Layouts and Lighting Scheme drawings Preparation of Grounding/Earthing layouts and Details for Complete Equipment and Buildings. Preparation of Lightning Protection Layouts and Details Preparation of Auxiliary Single Line Diagram for AC/DC Systems. To be able to understand end-client design and drafting systems and standards implemented in work. Coordination with other disciplines\' designers and engineers as applicable. Coordinate with BIM/CAD Lead concerning project requirements. Candidate should be able to visualize and produce a clash-free 3D model using Navisworks/Revit (and similar tools from the Bentley suite of software) Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently. Good oral and written communication skills. Commitment to safe work practices. Should be a good team player. Able to provide input into projects with minimal supervision. Can prioritize work products based on the project schedule. Preparation of Bill of Material for Complete Air Insulated Substation(AIS) & Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) Person Specifications: Diploma in Electrical Engineering & Designer. For Diploma 4-7 years experience Electrical Computer Aided Design experience on Substation (AIS & GIS) Voltage Level from 11Kv to 800kV. 2D and 3D Modelling and design experience using the following Software applications. - Autodesk Revit Autodesk AutoCAD Bentley MicroStation Autodesk Navisworks will be an added advantage Knowledge and project experience of working and delivering in a BIM environment. Knowledge and project experience of working and delivering using Revit 3D & 2D Models and MicroStation V8i 2D & 3D Environment, Knowledge and project experience of Autodesk Navisworks. Should be a good team player. Good oral and written communication skills. Fully competent in all conventional areas of subject matter or functional area. Receives guidance for unusual or complex problems. Good knowledge of other engineering discipline needs and interfaces. Advanced CAD software skills in support of design. Full understanding and support in the development of CAD/BIM standards and procedures. Advanced presentation skills. Ability to coordinate with designers and engineers of other disciplines to complete deliverables.
