This role requires a deep passion for storytelling, a strong understanding of children\'s interests, and the ability to work with a team of freelancers to create engaging and educational content for young readers. Roles and Responsibilities: Contributor Recruitment:

• Proactively identify and recruit talented writers, illustrators, and content creators to contribute to Champak Magazine.
• Build and maintain relationships with freelancers and potential contributors to grow the magazine\'s network.
• Oversee the creation of science-related content, crafts, cooking recipes, puzzles, and DIY activities that are both fun and educational.
• Ensure that these sections contribute to the magazine\'s overall appeal and educational value.

Story Development:

• Work closely with writers to brainstorm, develop, and refine story ideas, bridging any gaps in storytelling.
• Ensure that stories are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with the magazine\'s mission to entertain young readers.

Commissioning Features:

• Work closely with contributors to commission feature stories, theme-based content, and non-fiction articles.
• Provide clear guidance and feedback to ensure that content aligns with the magazine\'s vision.

Content Expansion:

• Collaborate with the editorial team to expand and diversify the content portfolio, identifying emerging trends and topics that resonate with children.

Administrative Tasks:

• Manage contributor contracts, invoices, and deadlines.
• Maintain an organized editorial calendar and assist in content planning.

Entrepreneurial Mindset:

• Actively seek opportunities to innovate and enhance the magazine\'s content offerings.
• Identify potential collaborations and partnerships to enhance the magazine\'s reach.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A master\'s degree in English, Journalism, Liberal Arts or a related field.
• Previous experience in an editorial, content management, or coordination role.
• Strong entrepreneurial and networking skills to engage and recruit contributors.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• A deep passion for storytelling and an understanding of children\'s interests.
• Proficiency in InDesign, Microsoft Office 365, Canva, and publishing software.
• Self-driven and motivated to expand the magazine\'s contributor base and content offerings.
