Key responsibilities:

  • Develop processes to track, analyse and summarise key macro economic parameters both for India and other geographics of relevance.
  • Develop and design new indices on macro and financial markets.
  • Track high frequency indicators and maintain databases for statistical analysis, writing and presentations.
  • Undertake research in fixed income segment viz. G-Sec, SDLs, corporate bonds and structured products. Also regularly need to track the primary auctions as well as the secondary markets.
  • Use of statistical techniques including but not limited to cross correlation, test of significance, multivariate regression and other non-linear techniques.
  • Develop forecasting models and regularly update the forecasts of various parameters.
  • Contribute to new themes and ideas and publish regularly.
  • Release regular commentary with impact assessments on data releases.
  • Work in collaboration with different teams to analyse new and relevant sector trends and implement new research ideas that will provide outlook on such trends.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Masters degree in Economics or MBA in finance or other relevant field with 4-7 years of relevant experience in the financial industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving ability.
  • Knowledge of statistics, econometrics, time series techniques
  • Should have knowledge on databases such as Bloomberg, Reuters, IMF, WDI, CMIE, CEIC, etc.
  • Should have exposure on the fixed income market and skills to undertake research in the domain.
  • Have excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Should be a team player and ready to work in a dynamic environment.
