The Responsibilities of the Cardiology Technician include the following: \xc2\xb7 Performance of echo tests in all patients. \xc2\xb7 Preparing the reports of echo studies and reports to HOD \xc2\xb7 Performance of emergency and bedside echos in various wards as needed and reports back to HOD \xc2\xb7 Performance of TMT according to prescribed protocols including preparation of patients and processing of reports \xc2\xb7 Performance of holter test and reporting to the doctors concerned. \xc2\xb7 Responsible for regular check of all equipments \xc2\xb7 Responsible for preparing the duty roster in consultation with the HOD \xc2\xb7 Responsible for maintenance of stock in the department and raise indents to the stores as and when required. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that the billing of all patients is done as per the hospital policies \xc2\xb7 In case TEE is done to liaise with the cardiologist and see that all the equipments are kept ready and patients are counseled and to assist cardiologist in the procedure. \xc2\xb7 In case Dobutamine stress is done to ensure that all the equipments needed is available and consent taken and patient counseled and to assist cardiologist in the procedure. \xc2\xb7 In case radionuclide stress is done to liaise with the Nuclear Medicine Department and see that the tests are done with minimum delay. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that all reports are dispatched at the earliest to enable better patient care. \xc2\xb7 Maintain up to date records of all procedures done. \xc2\xb7 Ensure department is neat and clean at all times. \xc2\xb7 To ensure overall quality of services is rendered to patient from non clinical operations.The Responsibilities of Biomedical Engineer include the following: \xc2\xb7 Ensure that all Medical equipment assigned to individual care is in good working condition and conforms to quality standards in performance as laid down. \xc2\xb7 Update all pending technical jobs \xc2\xb7 Maintain log books on serviceability of each instrument/equipment stating Procurement/installation date, service contract, warranty, etc. \xc2\xb7 Oversee performance and duties of all technicians and supervise their functioning. \xc2\xb7 Follow up on new equipment on order as well as service requirements of all installed equipment with the concerned department \xe2\x80\x93 materials/purchase \xc2\xb7 Perform all jobs that may be assigned as per exigencies of work by superiors.
