Job description of Duty medical officer:

DUTY MEDICAL OFFICERS should make daily bed side rounds act on patient\xe2\x80\x99s complaints & evaluate his GC, Check the vitals ( Pulse. BP. Spo2 & do the systemic examination) inform to treating consultants about lab values, and if values are abnormal then inform them on call, In surgical cases post-operative day, drain, Foley\xe2\x80\x99s catheter, Ryle\xe2\x80\x99s tube if any should be watched for. Drain & intake-output to be mentioned. Surgical site should be assessed for any bleeding & condition for wound Taking all consents for Procedures, Surgery. LAMA consent should be takenwith due signature name & designationofDMO. Writing ofFamily Education, Provide proper information to patients attenders about patient\xe2\x80\x99s condition and improvement in health. Speaking with Radiologist if any urgent radiology investigations are done to ask for findingsand informing them to the respective consultants. Writing of Blood Transfusison Notes, Foley\xe2\x80\x99s catheter, RT insertion, Small Dressings should be done. Should follow NABH Protocols and also should write discharge summaries of patients from time to time.
