Job Description

The Duty Manager ensures smooth day-to-day operations of the hotel by supervising the Front Office team, handling guest concerns, coordinating with all departments, and maintaining high standards of guest service. The role acts as the operational in-charge during shifts in the absence of senior management.

Key Responsibilities1. Guest Services & Experience



Welcome guests and ensure seamless check-in and check-out processes. Handle VIP arrivals, special requests, and room inspections. Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure all service standards are maintained to achieve high guest satisfaction scores.

2. Operational Management



Monitor daily Front Office operations including reception, concierge, and lobby. Oversee room allocation, availability, and coordinate with housekeeping. Ensure smooth functioning during peak hours. Conduct shift briefings and maintain daily logbooks.

3. Team Supervision



Guide, train, and support Front Office Associates. Ensure grooming standards, attendance, and discipline within the department. Assist in staff performance evaluations and training programs.

4. Safety & Security



Act as the hotel's Emergency Response leader during the shift. Handle lost & found procedures. Ensure safety, fire, and security protocols are followed.

5. Coordination & Communication



Liaise with F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security for guest needs. Coordinate group arrivals, events, and VIP movements. Prepare reports for management as required.

6. Financial & Administrative Duties



Ensure correct billing, cash handling, and credit policies. Monitor upselling, room revenue, and audit discrepancies. Support Night Audit team when required.

Skills & Competencies



Excellent communication and guest-handling skills. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of PMS/IDS/Opera or other hotel systems. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to multitask under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management. 2-4 years of Front Office experience; at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Experience in hotels/resorts preferred..

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
