to handle daily transport operations and ensure smooth coordination between drivers, vehicles, and operations. The role requires effective fleet supervision, real-time vehicle tracking, and driver management.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure
maximum number of vehicles are operational and running
on a daily basis and maximum number of trips expected from all vehicles.
On-board new vehicles and drivers
as per company requirements and maintain proper records.
Monitor and track vehicles using GPS and other tracking systems.
Manage and coordinate
12 to 50 vehicles
efficiently.
Plan and supervise
loading and unloading
activities to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
Maintain continuous communication with drivers for route coordination and issue resolution.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational guidelines.
Coordinate with clients, warehouse staff, and internal teams for smooth operations.
Report delays, breakdowns, or accidents and take immediate corrective actions.
Maintain daily operational reports, trip logs, and driver attendance records.
Ensure the vehicles are operated in a profitable manner and within the allotted fuel and enroute cost.
If excess cost incurred for fuel, road expense or RTO then penalty will be recovered from the drivers.
Should be ready to handle the drivers grievances and issues 24/7.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet operations preferred.
Strong multitasking, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage large fleets.
Willingness to be available on-call, including night-time support when needed.
Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and transport documentation.
