As the Director of Software Delivery for Verisk Claims, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the growth and managing the Claims team in Hyderabad while collaborating closely with our US and European based business unit leaders and other operational leaders in India. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution and continuous improvement of services provided by the Claims team in Hyderabad. This position requires a hands-on leader who can establish and execute robust operational processes, assist in managing a talented team, and ensure seamless coordination between India, US and European offices. Regular travel to US and Europe will be required to establish key relationships, observe team dynamics, and maintain effective communication and alignment across all stakeholders. You will report to the SVP of Technology and although the local staff will report up through their distinct Claims business units, you will be the lead Verisk Claims representative in India for all employees there. Key Responsibilities:

• Team Building and Leadership:
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding top talent in India, including software developers, QA, project managers, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the India team.
  • Create teambuilding activities for employees across Verisk Claims teams to bond.
  • Willing to be in office full time.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Provide training and mentoring as needed.
  • Oversee engineering staff and ensure they meet goals and objectives.
  • Ability to quickly make decisions.
• Operational Excellence:
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective operational processes and workflows that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee progress and timelines of projects.
  • Monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance productivity and quality.
  • Assist in reporting on delivery metrics across teams, identifying any shortcomings and collaborating on implementing solutions.
• Interdepartmental Coordination / Communication:
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders in the Hyderabad office while still independently representing the interests of the Verisk Claims business unit.
  • Collaborate closely with HR and Talent Acquisition teams in India to ensure efficient recruitment and talent management from freshers to senior hires.
  • Establish and maintain strong communication channels with business unit leaders in the US and Europe to understand their needs and align local operations accordingly.
  • Manage communication to local India teams for all India-specific announcements / issues (office changes, localized announcements, visits, policies, etc).
• Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets for the India operations, including staffing, infrastructure, hardware, and salary needs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Review project reports to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure that all local operations in India comply with legal and regulatory requirements, particularly regarding data access limitations around PII (personally identifiable information).
  • Mitigate operational risks and implement risk management strategies.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree required, preferably in engineering. Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration, operations management, computer science or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in product or operational leadership roles within the software industry.
• Strong knowledge of software development processes and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in project management and relevant software tools.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
• Ability to travel to the United States and Europe as needed.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and optimize resource utilization.
• Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively at an executive level in writing and verbally.
