Position Description

• The Distribution Specialist (DS) India processes orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Operate computer terminals to record warehouse movements and ensure an accurate inventory.
• Material Planning and Stock controlling.
• Import Shipment monitoring and clearance planning
• Scrap monitoring and inventory management
• Undertake routine stock checks on material / lot numbers and bin levels.
• The DS assists in the preparation of shipping documents, g. delivery notes, invoices, customs forms, airway bills, product certificates etc. as and when applicable.
• The DS observes compliance of shipments, labeling, instructions and documentation with local and international requirements, laws and regulations.
• The DS cooperates with appropriate freight forwarders and carriers to achieve optimal service levels.

Position Requirements

• Ability to lift weights according to legal regulations.
• Minimum of 5 years industrial job experience in related fields or related education as skilled labour. Fresh Graduates in Science, Logistics or related disciplines is preferred.
• Knowledge in temperature controlled products and Dangerous Goods is preferred, but not required.

Personal Requirements

• Knowledge of SAP (SD module)
• Managing local vendors and bill payments
• Knowledge in Government regulations for dangerous goods and dry ice shipments in accordance with guidelines is preferred.
