Air Liquide India provides innovative, responsive and customer focused services with the highest safety standards and over a wide product range, which improves the performance of our customers, while helping the environment.

Air Liquide India caters to an expanding merchant market network to which it supplies Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, Hydrogen, Helium and Specialty gases, through various supply systems - pipelines, tankers, cylinders, on-site plants or other specialized modes, depending on the product, location, and customer needs.

Missions and Responsibilities

Mission Statement: The mission of the Distribution Officer is to execute dispatches on a daily basis as per firmed plan for the day in a safe and timely manner. Taking care of vehicle inspection and safety at site. Discuss with the Sales team for smooth dispatch of cylinders and Bulk logistics. Coordinate with Transporters and MIC / Maintenance Officer for preventive maintenance and ensure the truck availability. Timely reporting on trip information and it's documentation flow.

• Prepare daily dispatch plan in coordination with CSD, Production / cylinders stock and availability of trucks.
• Ensure to upkeep of Hand held sets ( GTS scanning equipment's)
• Ensuring and validation of the cylinder loaded in the trucks as per trip (products assigned)
• Ensure to upload the trip details into the Hand held set provided to drivers before the trip starts.
• Ensure to handover the shipping documents (Hand held set, Invoices and permits) to the driving personnel and give him delivery instructions on customer's location, delivery date and time, customer's premises.
• Ensure to download the trip details from the Hand held set (provided to drivers) after the trip ending. Validation of trip details.
• Submission of Invoice to the accounts within before the end of Month for payments
• Ensure timely dispatch of invoices to the correct addresses of customers for timely payments (If any).
• Ensure to maintain record of all Dispatch and Delivery related documents at designated place for future reference and audit purpose.
• Ensure to reach the truck to customers' sites in time and to improve the vehicle turnaround.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Sales for timely release of the transport trucks at customer ends. Monitor the improvement on it

Competencies and Profile

Job Requirements - Educational Qualification & Basic Competencies:

• Professional diploma/degree in any field with 4 to 6 years of industrial experience in distribution planning, dispatch.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong team player
• Adaptability work effectively in complex and ambiguous situations
• Flexibility, working at times in ambiguity, while still maintaining positivity
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written; proven experience of establishing, maintaining and developing working relationships at all levels
• Oral and written fluency in English
