Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) Team Overview : Supply Chain Services (SCS) group part of Product Support & Logistics Division, The Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) team being part of SCS group is responsible for seamless execution of critical processes for Caterpillar manufacturing facilities in the areas of New Product Introduction (NPI), Electronic Data Interface (EDI), shipping Label and Analytics solutions. DART team delivers value by developing & implementing business-critical projects and solutions in collaboration with Manufacturing facilities, Logistic Center, and Product Groups. Distribution Consultant - Job Purpose : As a Distribution Consultant, the incumbent will be expected to complete complex programs and/or multiple programs or projects of a large scope simultaneously. Provide leadership in the development and updates of program and project management to clearly define deliverables, and timeliness. The incumbent manages the interactions and relationship across teams, interrelated projects and builds credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization. Incumbent is accountable to ensure project deliverables are achieved on time, within budget and scope. The incumbent would also be responsible to collaborate with existing clients and new facilities as commercial consultant to expand services. Job Responsibilities : Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Supports the various program teams and obtains/provides a variety of information starting at the concept stage and continuing through prototype, pilot, implementation, and follow-up stages of the various programs. Design and develop solutions to improve customer experience and mitigate business challenges. Lead, motivate people and encourage teamwork to ensure successful completion of programs/ projects. Collaborate with cross functional team to understand process challenges and lead discussion to identify improvement opportunities. Responsible provide technical and functional guidance and lead data analytics team. Bridge Technical and Business teams to arrive at potential technical solution for global facilities. Work independently on defining and testing complex programs, processes, or systems. Support in the functional design, development, maintenance/administration, prioritization and/or upgrades of major system modules and programs. Become fully knowledgeable of Caterpillar application infrastructure components: the current operating environment, program design and specification development, programming logic, logic diagrams, testing, debugging and documentation. Analyze and model user requirements, specify information flows, processes, procedures, data objects and dialogues between information systems and their users. Produce, or make required revisions to, administrative procedures and documentation. Document and provide functional designs and acceptance testing for programs of varying degrees of complexity. Background/ Experience: Bachelor\'s degree in engineering with 10+ years relevant industry experience in Service Parts, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, and Procurement. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or influence others inside and outside the department to complete appropriate actions. Strong project management skills, team leadership skills, excellent communication skills, ability to multitask effectively, strong analytical and organizational skills. Experience in the use of 6 Sigma tools and methodology. Must be flexible to work in different shift timings as per business requirements. Proficient with some of the following technical areas: SAS, Power BI, .NET Framework, Oracle, and other advanced analytical tools.
