Plan daily dispatch schedules based on customer orders, delivery deadlines, and vehicle availability.
Coordinate with production, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure timely readiness of goods.
2. Order Processing & Documentation
Verify sales orders, delivery challans, invoices, packing lists, and dispatch documents.
Ensure accuracy of quantities, product codes, and customer details before dispatch.
3. Vehicle & Route Management
Arrange transportation (company vehicles or third-party logistics).
Optimize delivery routes for time and cost efficiency.
Track vehicle movement and ensure adherence to schedules.
4. Warehouse & Inventory Coordination
Coordinate with warehouse staff for picking, packing, and loading of goods.
Ensure stock availability and maintain correct inventory records.
Monitor loading/unloading to avoid damage and discrepancies.
5. Team Supervision
Lead, assign tasks, and supervise dispatch staff (loaders, drivers, helpers).
Ensure safety standards and compliance during dispatch activities.
6. Communication & Coordination
Act as the central communication point between customers, transporters, warehouse, and sales teams.
Provide dispatch updates, delivery status, and resolve any issues promptly.
7. Tracking & Monitoring Deliveries
Monitor shipment progress until delivery is completed.
Resolve delays, route issues, or vehicle breakdowns.
Maintain records of delivery confirmations and proof of delivery (POD).
8. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with company policies, GST/transport rules, and documentation requirements.
Follow safety protocols for loading, vehicle movement, and material handling.
