Our security team is expanding globally and specifically in the APAC region with hubs in India, Pakistan, and Australia. We\'re looking for a Cybersecurity Leader in India who can build and operate a cross-functional security team in the APAC region. As a public cloud, providing infrastructure and platform services, it\'s imperative that our customers and platform are protected from harm. As a security leader at DigitalOcean, you\'ll influence security operations, engineering, compliance, trust and safety, and numerous other aspects of how security intersects with the business. Security at DigitalOcean is out in front with the business, we\'re seeking a leader who\'s passionate about enabling the business to take smart risks for growth, building security culture, and building trusted relationships across the organization. You\'ll report directly to the Head of Security, and oversee our security engineering, IT, and security operations functions within the APAC region. As a key decision maker for risk and security at DigitalOcean, you\'ll influence our security roadmap and partner with many other teams across the organization to guide good security practices, architecture, and decision making.

What You\'ll Be Doing:

• Provide leadership to DigitalOcean security engineering, security operations, and IT functions in the APAC region.
• Innovate in our security capability, organizational design, and process that allow us to achieve our security goals at the scale of the public cloud.
• Act as DigitalOcean\'s India Nodal Officer for Abuse and Legal Operations, interfacing with law enforcement in the APAC region.
• Responsible for serving as the liaison between DigitalOcean and India Government officials like Police, Cyber Crime Investigation officers, and other regulators.
• Build security awareness and provide guidance on security architecture to technical and non-technical teams throughout the organization.
• Lead a team of talented security professionals and guide them on their professional growth.
• Communicate to executive leadership on the risks that DigitalOcean faces, our plans and progress on addressing risk, and the tradeoffs to consider while on that journey.

What You\'ll Add to DigitalOcean:

• Although DigitalOcean has a complex tech stack, we don\'t expect you to be expert in everything\xe2\x80\x94that\'s why you have a team! But we do expect you to have experience with security operations (detection/response), vulnerability management, application security, threat modeling, and familiarity with network architecture, service design, identity management, and data protection.
• As our Nodal Officer in India, you\'ll interface directly with India Law Enforcement and CERT bodies to broker information sharing where necessary, within the bounds of our strict privacy posture.
• Experience leading cross-functional security teams, and in particular, a history of success in leading teams that regularly engage outside of the security organization.
• Ability to set multi-year direction and vision, and achieve milestones, while being adaptive in prioritization and process.
• Excellent communication skills for distilling complex security topics for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience coaching and mentoring team members, and acting as a manager of managers. Cascading culture, goals, and engagement styles to your teams.
• Interface with customers and the security community to build awareness about DigitalOcean security.
