About the team Our South Asia team works with Government, Private sector and international aid agencies and other financing organizations (FCDO, USAID, The EU, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank etc.) as implementing partner in technical cooperation and assistance bringing expertise that matters to achieve Sustainable Development Goals in the area of urban development, disaster and climate resilience, energy and clean energy transition. About the role: We are offering a leadership role to grow the ICF Urban development business, serving local and national governments, bilateral and multilateral agencies to implement city and regional development initiatives, addressing global themes in climate, environment, sustainability, social and gender inclusion and with use of innovative technologies. This is a client and market oriented senior position, reporting directly to the Managing Director of ICF based in India with the prime responsibility for leading ICF growth strategy in urban development and the management of the urban portfolio of ICF programs in South Asia, collaborating with ICF Urban sector staff in other global ICF locations such as London (UK), Kathmandu (Nepal) and Reston (USA) You will require strong leadership skills and business development acumen, underpinned by a track record in work-winning to date. You\'ll also have excellent knowledge of development agencies\' initiatives and priorities gained through a mix of business development and project delivery experience. Familiarity with the formulation, financing, implementation and evaluation of urban, city and regional development projects and programs is essential for this role, along with knowledge of a range of technical disciplines that include Inclusive/resilient/smart city strategy formulation and planning analysis of the built environment and housing city/municipal infrastructure and services (water, sanitation, waste), governance and finance urban and land use policy and planning urban transportation spatial data collection, analysis and reporting and urban and regional economic analysis and planning. At ICF you will: Lead a business development strategy and initiatives to growth ICF portfolio in urban development and related sectors. Win, implement and manage urban and regional development projects for a range of clients, specifically bilateral and multilateral donors and their government partners. Develop expertise and intellectual property within the company on urban and city development topics and issues. Support mid-level and junior consultants with guidance and supervision of their outputs. Set up and mentor a team of smart analysts and planners to grow into a sustainable consulting practice. Collaborate with other ICF staff across the global business Required experience: 15 years of post-education work experience in the urban sector. Experience in a senior management position, responsible for delivering results. Demonstrated track record in successfully leading capture and strategic business development initiatives funded by the bilateral and multilateral organizations (FCDO, USAID, EC, ADB, GIZ, WB). Strong experience of successfully delivering urban/regional/built environment development. Significant field experience working on urban development projects in India with cities, state governments and central Government. Substantial technical expertise in the disciplines making up urban/city development. Experience in capacity building and training in technical areas is desirable. Qualifications: Master\'s degree in urban planning, Development, Management, or related field.
