The Opportunity Join Litera as a Director of Quality Engineering (QE), a senior leadership role, and lead the charge in building and supporting a high-performing software quality engineering team. Your day-to-day As a Director of Quality Engineering (QE), you will be responsible for the strategic direction of multiple scrum teams, mentor the managers to help them deliver on quality and velocity goals and partner with stakeholders to transform and modernize the organization. Responsibilities Lead Strategic Initiatives: Shape the strategic direction of multiple scrum teams, mentor managers to achieve quality and velocity goals, and collaborate with stakeholders to modernize our organization. Manage QE Teams: Direct and align a large QE team to achieve their goals, ensuring they stay focused and motivated. Drive Quality Projects: Oversee the design, strategy, and execution of software quality projects that support product roadmaps. Monitor Progress: Keep a close eye on the daily activities and progress of multiple SCRUM teams, and maintain updated team metrics to measure QE and operational excellence. Quality Improvement: Lead SCRUM teams through quality improvement initiatives, using metrics for data-driven decision-making. Collaborate: Work closely with Product Managers to define quality requirements for new products and features. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with geographically distributed cross-functional teams, including product, customer care, and other QE leaders, to enhance quality practices with a customer-centric focus. Strategic Planning: Develop and communicate short-, medium-, and long-range roadmaps for the QE organization and provide input on budget constraints. Stay Current: Stay informed about modern quality tools and processes that can enhance quality, reliability, and delivery. Qualifications Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in computer science or information technology. 15+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years of management experience in software quality engineering. Experience with SaaS products. Profound understanding of agile software development life cycles (SDLC). Prior experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams of QE\'s simultaneously working on multiple projects. Strong cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills. Familiarity with Test Automation, Performance Testing, and DevOps CI/CD principles. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong relationship management, project management, problem-solving, executive communication, and change management skills. Ability to work with local and global stakeholders in a matrix environment. Comfortable interacting and presenting in front of C-level executives. Thrive in fast-changing environments and ambiguity while being execution-oriented, hands-on, pragmatic, and results-focused. Strong problem-solving abilities with accurate issue documentation and communication skills. Prior experience in M&A integrations (preferred).
