Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a Quality functional leader with expertise in managing Quality as a function in the retail food space with strong foundational knowledge of Quality standards and apex bodies is a must have for this position. This role will require an incumbent to work directly with farmers; hence an incumbent shall be very hands on. Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience is important to be successful in this role.
The role will be responsible for? Zero customer complaints of a critical nature.
? Maintain a high testing accuracy with speed at all stages of inspection. Improve the Food Safety Management System at JIN.
? To qualify and sustain BRC Grade A + (announced and unannounced)
? Sustain NABL accreditation and include more matrix and testing.
? Ensure a high level of acceptance by our customers. Increase customer satisfaction through product knowledge, complaint investigation, and first-time-right quality approach.
? Specification management & and tracking.
? Supervise Supply Chain QA/QC and coordinate with the Direct Farmer Sourcing team.
? To Manage and lead a team of qualified professionals in the Labs situated at various locations including Kinathukadavu, Trade Centre Coimbatore, Wallayar, and Bavla-Ahmedabad. Hands-on mentor for Technical and Quality matters across JHS.
? Be the face of JHS in Associations and Conferences.

A successful Director - Quality should have:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Chemistry / Microbiology, B Tech Food Technology
  • Excellent communication skills (Oral and verbal). Good leadership quality.
  • 12+ years of experience in quality functions in food industry
  • Should have worked a minimum of 8 to 10 years in Quality Assurance and Food Safety in any Spice/Food processing industry in a Senior Managerial cadre. Experience in testing spices, herbs, and seasonings in a HACCP / BRC-certified food industry. Should have a thorough knowledge of Food safety, HACCP, and Quality Management systems and oversight of all regulatory bodies.
