Portfolio Director, Pharma As a member of Baxter\'s Pharmaceuticals segment, you will accelerate growth by identifying new products to bring into the portfolio globally. Baxter\'s pharma strategy is focused on differentiated and complex injectables, first-to-market opportunities, and other value-added generic categories. You will ensure that a robust pipeline of new products is aligned with this strategy and is prioritized to meet growth targets. Responsibilities include portfolio optimization, molecule selection, driving key growth initiatives including identification and evaluation of differentiated products, technologies and drug delivery platforms and working closely with R&D and business development to drive new molecule development and inorganic growth opportunities. Seeking talented individual with strong pharmaceutical background and expertise in generic injectables. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Working with regional marketing teams globally, identify areas of unmet customer needs and design an optimal portfolio to support aggressive market growth. Along with R&D, co-lead the pharma innovation team and ensure that molecules recommended for feasibility and development are aligned with commercial needs. Lead cross-functional discussions and diligence on proposed ideas, with a goal of finding creative solutions to technical and intellectual property hurdles for new products Coordinate senior leadership meetings to review comprehensive business cases and gain alignment Own business cases and financial models for early-stage projects to support portfolio expansion efforts Monitor and evaluate external competitive environment to proactively identify opportunities and help mitigate threats to existing portfolio and pipeline. Help manage internal competitive intelligence resources. Lead market research efforts, including KOL engagement and customer advisory boards to further understanding of patient and customer needs Qualifications Strong generic injectables experience. At least seven years business experience with four + years experience in generic injectables including molecule selection, new molecule launches and experience with differentiated drug delivery including premixes. Experience with combination (drug/device) products is highly desirable. Excellent quantitative and qualitative assessment skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to develop strategic plans and business cases. Strong leadership skills. Ability to facilitate and manage cross-functional teams. Strong presentation and oral communication skills. Knowledge of external healthcare business environment Education/Experience Bachelor\'s degree in pharmacy, finance, marketing, business or science/technology required. Pharmacy degree, MBA or PhD in science preferred. Experience in the Healthcare industry and specifically generic injectables Requires seven or more solid years of business experience and / or pharmacy experience.
