What You Get To Do In This Role: The Director of Operational Excellence reports to the Vice President of Operational Excellence. This Operational Excellence team is a high-impact and highly influential team that is responsible for driving enterprise-wide operational leverage. In this role, you will be a senior engagement leader, drive and accelerate enterprise-level transformation and operational process improvement. You will directly and indirectly lead a cross-functional and inter-disciplinary team to rapidly assess, diagnosis, recommend and implement process improvements to yield operational excellence. The ideal candidate is cross-functionally experienced, has a track record of driving transformation, expert influence skills at executive and core team levels, and high work ethic. This position requires strong leadership and influence skills, and you must be able to reimagine how work gets done. Our strategic programs are global, enterprise wide, and cross-functional in nature. A deep understanding of management consulting, program management, process design, implementation, change management, and release management is required for you to be successful in this role. This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to work effectively at all engagement and activity levels. Reports to VP of Operational Excellence Principle leader on enterprise-level transformation and process improvement efforts Work in and exposure to top company and functional priorities Be part of a world-class, high impact team Qualifications To be successful in this role you have: 15+ years of experience leading and driving Operational Excellence or Strategic Program Management in a top technology company or equivalent experience in management consulting. An all-around athlete with deep experience in multi business functions / disciplines Energetic self-starter with a proven track record for getting things done in a high-growth, ambiguous environment Highly skilled at building trusted relationships and influencing others, particularly with executive leadership teams. Strong understanding of the \'heart of the business\' and experience working directly or indirectly with various business functions and multiple aspects of the business value chain, from business and product development to downstream support operations. Ability to think strategically, understand the big picture and connect the dots between strategy and operational priorities, as well as translate the strategy into effective execution and tangible outcomes. Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization, drive sponsorship for outcomes and maintain cross -functional status and alignment to key business priorities. Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead complex projects to completion. Strong level of comfort with business and technical discussions, with the ability to understand and articulate the business impacts of technical actions and vice versa. Preferred Knowledge and Experience In-depth understanding and/or certifications of core operational excellence areas such as process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, portfolio management, project management, Agile and change management. Ability to strategically lay out plans, and support requirements to get to objectives. Strong capability in developing project plans, KPI development and proficiency with analytics and modeling. Effective communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing. Familiarity with the enterprise software/ SaaS industry highly desirable, including ability to speak to market and competitive trends and confidently articulate ServiceNow\'s solution set. JV20 For positions in California (outside of the Bay Area), we offer a base pay of $161,010 - $281,790, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
