We need an HR Director to partner with the Global Chief People Officer to provide HR counsel and support for their region. This position is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to Pattern. This role carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruiting, and employment law compliance. This is a full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule based in either Nis or Kraljevo, Serbia. Frequently Asked Questions What is a day in the life of a Director of HR?

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for regional personnel
  • Conducts recruitment efforts including placing job ads, screening candidates, setting up and conducting interviews, and checking references
  • Conducts new hire orientation and submits new hire information
  • Ensures accuracy of employee timecards and reports payroll data to corporate headquarters
  • Monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary
  • Assists with benefits administration
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
  • Data entry and maintenance of employee records in HRIS and other systems
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Assists employees by listening to issues and concerns, and consults with Chief People Officer or Global HRBP before making recommendations for resolutions
  • Assists with employee recognition programs
  • Performs various other duties as assigned
  • Clearly understands business goals and suggests new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR processes

What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • Degree in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years' experience in an HR administrative role where independent decision-making and self-initiative were demonstrated
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven track record of driving results
  • Proven ability to effectively and respectfully work with individuals at varying levels within an organization
  • Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Products and HRIS systems
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of benefits programs
  • Experience with onboarding new employees
  • Strong understanding of HR law and its application
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
  • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor when handling difficult situations
  • Familiarity with sourcing and recruiting processes
  • High ethical standards, self-driven, organized, and proactive mindset
