WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the Director of HR Technology Engineering - Workday, you will lead the Workday team at India Technology Center that is obsessed with improving our global Workday platform offering. Your team has a direct impact on Nike's "People First" culture, HR Operations and team mate experience and employee engagement. You drive engineering excellence for the platform and will build, lead, and deliver development standards, stable and scalable platforms, global development teams, and critical operational solutions. You will be part of a global HR technology leadership team who define and align the HR platform and organization to drive the future of HR technology at Nike.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Drive engineering platform thinking within our Workday platform that serves our entire employee base
  • Leading and developing a world class ITC HR Engineering team
  • Play a key role on our global HR Technology leadership team and develop leading engineering practices, delivery models, enablement of partners and citizen developers
  • Build, lead, develop and nurture a global team producing leading practice insights supporting HR implementations and adoption.
  • Collaborate with Workday Product leaders to support roadmap development and platform vision
  • Engage with platform, architecture and product leaders to drive platform health and engineering best practices and oversight
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
  • Mentor and Coach Engineers and Leads
  • HR Technology Product Managers and architects
  • Closely collaborate and partner across global HR Technology directors to execute projects
  • Senior Leaders and HR business partners
  • Cross functional technology partners to deliver enterprise solutions
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or any combination of relevant experience, education, and training
  • 12+ years of software development experience, including data engineering or analytics space.
  • A solid understanding of Workday architecture and engineering
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience driving engineering collaboration across geographies
  • Participation in Workday communities a plus, but not required
  • Experience applying Agile methodologies, with familiarity in other methodologies as projects may require
  • Recent relevant experience with implementing CI/CD in an enterprise environment
  • Experience applying modern engineering concepts such as dev ops, full stack development, low code, AI and test automation in SaaS constrained platforms
  • Experience leading a global engineering platform
  • Demonstrated track record of leading within matrixed organizations requiring strong influence leadership skills - ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment
  • Outstanding collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills with ability to facilitate technology strategy, requirements and architecture conversations with all partners (management, business users, and technology resources)
  • Knowledge of SaaS applications, SaaS deployment models, and SaaS DevOps
  • Ability to collaboratively work with Product owners and Product Managers in the implementation of the technical content in Agile Framework.
  • Workday Studio Certification preferred
  • Experience with Object Oriented concepts preferred
  • Detail oriented with superior analytical, problem solving, pragmatism and organization skills
  • Ability to pick up new technologies and common applications
