The Director of Business Development at LotusFlare will be responsible for driving the expansion of LotusFlare\xe2\x80\x99s business across Asia Pacific. You will be the leader of LotusFlare\xe2\x80\x99s sales and account management initiatives in Asia with the aim of achieving key strategic goals:

  • Build and monitor a healthy pipeline leading to sales with new telecommunications operators in Asia
  • Manage one large existing account in Asia and ensure customer satisfaction which will enable you to grow more opportunities within the account.
Job Responsibilities
  • Sales \xe2\x80\x98hunter\xe2\x80\x99 position responsible for prospecting, engaging and acquiring new customers in Asia Pacific
  • Prospect in the following geographies: India, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines
  • Prepare reports on BD status to communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal stakeholders
  • Work independently and proactively with minimal supervision
  • Develop and maintain relationships with executives in the telecom, media and system integrator (SI) domains in Asia
  • Manage end-to-end BD sales funnel, including generating new prospects, creating opportunities, qualifying prospects and driving to closure
  • Work with LotusFlare marketing to identify market trends, key messages and give input to marketing campaigns for Asia
  • Expand and grow business with LotusFlare\xe2\x80\x99s existing customers in Asia through renewals and expansion SOWs
  • Provide business leadership and management within the account team for one of our leading telecom customers in the Philippines
  • As account lead build and maintain key executive relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor on-going deployment projects
  • Work cross-functionally with LotusFlare product, account manager and sales engineering to accomplish customer goals and deliver on commitments, on-time and to a high quality standard
  • Track invoices, POs, SOWs or contract renewal paperwork
  • Delight your customers and drive customer references and case studies
Job Requirements
  • 5+ experience in sales, business development, consulting, account management or similar role
  • 4+ years of experience working for an enterprise software company that sells into Telecommunications Operators
  • BS or BA in Economics / Business / Management / Marketing or another related field. MBA a plus
  • Proven track record of success in achieving or exceeding sales quota
  • Experience with B2B sales and how to qualify and advance prospects through a sales pipeline
  • You are a digital savvy individual that knows the latest digital technologies and trends; you experiment and are open to integrating new digital technologies in everyday work
  • Consultative selling skills and commercial understanding
  • Strong customer and market insight and negotiation skills
  • Prior experience selling and delivering large software or digital transformation projects to telecom operators
  • Experience in project management, account management and client delivery
  • Comfortable with demos, proposals, RFPs, contracts, SOWs, POs, invoices and the \xe2\x80\x98nuts and bolts\xe2\x80\x99 of commercial sales for enterprise software projects
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written English)
  • Established \xe2\x80\x98Rolodex\xe2\x80\x99 of contacts in Asia telecoms and industry partners (e.g. SIs)
  • Flexible to be able to work across global time zone as needed
