Role Purpose

Working as part of the Infrastructure & Cloud organisation, the Director of Authentication and Authorisation leads the strategy, engineering and operations of Active Directory, Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), single sign-on, PKI certificate services, and password management solutions, across the London Stock Exchange Group. The role will partner with key collaborators in other functions, in particular with identity and access management architects within Cyber Security.

The role is part of a wider team that includes End User Computing and platforms for operational automation and observability.

Role Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of strategy for our authentication and authorisation solutions, across Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), single sign-on with Entra ID SSO, PKI and certificate management, and password management, ensuring the solutions meet the performance, experience, functionality and security requirements of the organisation. Incorporate vendor and industry trends to build roadmaps to keep the company at the forefront of technology.

Ensure the team is properly resourced, and the team have been trained in relevant tools and methodologies and understand their role in the organisation. Champion and deliver an agile and DevOps delivery methodology and a continuous improvement framework to drive efficiency and enable business agility.

Manage and elevate relationships with key suppliers, setting performance standards and leading the resolution of issues. Nurture relationships with senior business customers and partner Technology teams, with a particular focus on Cyber Security.

Minimum Requirements

• Significant experience of engineering and/or operations in several of these technology areas

• This is a People Manager role, leading a distributed team
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience
• Experience in Financial Services preferred
• Significant people management and multi-group management experience

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid working role, with an expectation of being in the Bangalore office at least one day per week.
