Reports To : Executive Director

Purpose of the role :

- We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the overall marketing strategy for the Indian market, including new channel marketing, retail business, and e-commerce.

- The Marketing Director will play a critical role in driving business growth, executing on project planning, working with the sales team, and building the brand.

- He/she will work in alignment with the Group CMO (Chief Marketing officer), around brand positioning and activation, innovation process management and lead generation.

- He/she will also lead the new channel marketing approach in eSports and Sports. Moreover, as part of the strategy building, the Marketing Director will also build a fit-for-the-future Marketing team with the right capabilities and talents to support the ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy for the Indian market

- Lead new channel marketing initiatives, including exploring new markets, identifying potential distribution partners, and managing relationships with existing partners

- Develop and execute retail marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive sales in-store

- Manage e-commerce marketing activities, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media

- Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for business growth and execute on marketing programs that drive revenue

- Build the brand in India through strategic partnerships, events, and PR initiatives

- Collaborate with product development teams to identify and launch new products that meet the needs of the Indian market

- Manage the entire marketing team, including hiring, training, and performance management

- Ensure that all marketing activities are aligned with company values and strategic goals

- Track and report on key performance metrics for marketing initiatives

- Lead the new channel marketing approach in eSports and Sports :

1. To drive insights from consumer data of the hybrid trading cards platforms with and for customers

2. To recruit a team of data scientists to support with that work

3. To drive innovation and marketing campaigns for and with customers

4. To develop and activate our own brands in this space

- Business Growth : Work with the sales team to identify new business opportunities Develop marketing programs that drive revenue growth

1. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify areas for growth

2. Collaborate with the sales team to develop marketing programs that support sales objectives

3. Provide support to the sales team by developing marketing materials, training, and resources

4. Ensure that marketing activities are aligned with sales goals

- Brand Building : Develop and implement brand-building strategies that increase brand awareness and loyalty

1. Manage the brand\'s reputation through effective PR and communications strategies

2. Build and manage strategic partnerships that support brand-building efforts

- Product Development : Work closely with the product development team to identify and launch products that meet the needs of the Indian market

- Develop marketing strategies that support product launches

- Complete Marketing : Oversee all marketing activities, including new channel marketing, retail business, and e-commerce

1. Develop and manage marketing budgets

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all marketing activities are aligned with company goals

- Transform the Retail business in India to a true marketing driven value selling branded organization:

1. To implement the new Brand Framework, in cooperation with the CMO

2. To deliver actionable insights based on internal and external data

3. To drive the local Innovation Process Management (IPM)

4. To develop the yearly brand plans which will support business targets, and assure delivery in execution

- To drive the sub-channel approach :

1. E-commerce

2. Hobby / Specialty Channel

3. Own web-shop / Direct to Consumer

4. Mass Retail (as it emerges in India)

- To coordinate the brand portfolio roll-out in India

- Project Planning: Develop and manage project plans for all marketing initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet strategic goals

- Identify and manage risks associated with marketing projects

- Build an overall Marketing budget, and manage within budget

- Build a Marketing resource plan, and execute that over time

- Prioritize marketing projects and allocate resources accordingly

- Set short- and long-term goals for the department, as it grows

- Coach, mentor and raise the team\'s ability (once it will be established) to exceed company\'s expectations

- Builds strong network and relationship with the channel teams and the international marketing team

- Manage the customer journey from lead generation to brand advocacy, including all online and offline channels

- Monitor all marketing campaigns and improve them when necessary

Education, Experience and Competencies :

- Masters\' degree in Marketing or related field

- 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a sales/product role in a Consumer / FMCG or other B to C businesses with top-notch marketing practices.

- Strong digital marketing experience is required including online channel mix, content management and digital analytics

- Experience with global consumers brands is a must

- Experience developing and executing marketing strategies for the Indian market

- Entrepreneurial, with a passion for businesses on the marketing front, to support business growth

- Passionate about sharing their marketing expertise and rolling up their sleeves to turn their strategic plans into tangible business results

- Strong understanding of new channel marketing, retail business, and e-commerce Experience managing a team and developing talent

- Strong project management skills

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to think strategically and drive business growth

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and able to interact with different levels across customer organisations (including the most senior ones)

- Experience with IPM flows (innovation process management) is a plus

- Customer-oriented approach with aptitude

- International experience is a plus
