Role Description


: Seclore Technology Private Limited is a global data security software company. Seclore focuses on Information Rights Management that enable organizations to leverage best-in-class data protection technologies to control and monitor their sensitive information. We have operations in North America, Middle East, India and Europe.


: We are looking for individuals to lead Seclore?s Legal function including, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• 
  Be the guardian of the Organization?s legal posture on matters of commercial contracts, data privacy, IP, etc.
• Advising and supporting various business teams (for e.g. Sales, Marketing, Engineering, IT-procurement and HR) in the review, negotiation and closure of a variety of contracts. A very important trait we are looking for in the Director ? Legal is the ability work with business teams to come up with solution-oriented ways to close contracts, especially with large customer enterprises.
• Work with external Legal Counsels located in different Geographies regularly regarding specific matters.
• Update themselves and Seclore?s legal documentation from time to time to confirm with recent regulatory developments and evolving business requirements.
• Developing relationships with various business units and functional departments and develop understanding of their strategies and objections to better serve the company's need
• Creating and maintaining template agreements and refining contract processes and forms
• Assisting in other matters as may be requested.
• Advising teams on intellectual property (USA and India) and technology related legal issues including compliance with data protection and privacy laws, online and email marketing rules
• Part of the team on fund raising and M&A (buy and sell side) projects with ownership of Legal Due Diligence requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor?s degree in law from a leading Law College
• 7 ? 9 years of professional work experience with substantial exposure of working with Tech / SaaS companies
• Leadership skills since the role will have 1 / 2 people reporting.
• Significant exposure to tech / product contracts is a must have
• Ability to independently draft and close technology related and other commercial agreements such as NDAs, SaaS, Software license, Service Agreements etc.
• Strong hold over Intellectual Property and technology laws of India/ and US
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, people management, including ability to work effectively with the business teams
• Proactive, with excellent research, analytical skills and should be able to exercise judgment and discretion to opine on legal issues effectively
• Understanding and prior experience of managing US legal affairs would be preferred
• Able to understand and talk technology
• A self-starter who is comfortable working independently on day-to-day requirements and paperwork of a lean legal department
• The candidate must have excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to take initiative, adapt quickly to changing priorities and work with a high sense of urgency across a variety of matters
• Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with effective business judgment
