Your Career Palo Alto Networks is looking for an experienced \'Director - Financial Planning & Analysis\' to help build standardized Financial Planning and Analysis services to be leveraged across all of our speedboats, functions, and theaters. Our operating model revolves around FP&A resources located next to the business that leverages a deep understanding of the operating model and long term goals to provide strategic advice and analysis. These embedded resources leverage a Center of Excellence that provides standardized recurring FP&A services to them and their business partners. This person will be responsible for the design and execution of several cross-functional FP&A activities, which are divided into two central teams within our Center of Excellence: One team is focused on OPEX and headcount management and related reporting activities while the other team is focused on pipeline to margin reporting and analytics. This position will be responsible for developing the planning & analysis processes for both teams in collaboration with cross-functional orgs to support month end close process as per a strict timeline, projects and implement process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Your Impact Leverage experience performing FP&A activities and business partnering to drive cross-functional alignment between Functions, Theaters, and Business Units Provide thought leadership to the Bangalore FP&A team to build annual budgets, forecasts, analyses, projects etc. Identify tools, methods, and procedures as process aids to deliver meaningful insights into business performance. Reviewing operations and recommending new / improved methods of working, standardizing processes across product-lines, staff functions and regions using new tools, identifying automation opportunities within FP&A with sole aim to improve insightful reporting, increase productivity and manage FP&A operations etc. Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions. Provide insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts, and profitability. Connect the dots across various FP&A Functions, see the larger picture as well evaluate the impact at a micro level. Develop and implement a strategy for documentation and cross-training that allows for the seamless transition of work across pooled resources based on availability and bandwidth. Develop a process for quickly ingesting new service requests, assessing for overlaps with existing services, documenting the playbook in support of the service, implementing the new service, and maintaining its accuracy, consistency, and timeliness post implementation. Use data to solve problems and evaluate scenarios and support decision making. Your Experience Candidate should have worked in fast-paced and growing US technology company and should have handled a team of 25+ Analysts supporting global delivery. 15-20 years of FP&A experience managing large teams at an early stage of evolution. Ability to collaborate with the respective business/service functions supporting the vision and mission of PANW. Conceptualize / lead initiatives to enhance FP&A effectiveness across the organization. Excellent financial modeling & Project management skills Experience / exposure to AI / ML will be a good to have Strong analytical, problem solving, organization skills paired with strong written & oral communications skills.
