Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the face of the organization in all government interactions, driving Copper's advocacy on key industry issues in Tamil Nadu while maintaining strong relationships with government stakeholders and industry associations.

Develop strategic plans and cultivate effective relationships with officials and key stakeholders within the state administration to advance business interests.

Champion Vedanta's long-term vision of becoming the most sustainable natural resources company by front-ending its interests in external engagements.

Formulate and implement stakeholder engagement strategies to strengthen relationships with bureaucrats, policymakers, and industry leaders.

Design and execute innovative external relations strategies that enhance brand perception and build a strong corporate reputation.

Organize impactful PR events such as press conferences, exhibitions, and stakeholder forums to increase awareness and foster influential connections.

Collaborate with business units and functions to craft and communicate a compelling narrative that reinforces Copper's brand identity.

Provide visionary leadership to the advocacy and external relations team, driving creativity, reputation management, and global visibility.

Advance standardized public brand-building initiatives to ensure consistency, credibility, and recognition across all platforms.

Strengthen community relations through active involvement in local initiatives and events that align with Vedanta's sustainability goals.

Supervise crisis communication and PR management, ensuring timely and effective handling of sensitive situations.

Monitor local trends and external factors that may influence the company's image, reputation, and operations.

Ensure compliance with company by laws, regulations, and policies while standardizing brand-building practices for global visibility.

Qualification & Experience:

The ideal incumbent should have 12+ years of relevant experience

Fluency (Verbal & Written) in Tamil Language is Mandatory

Proven track record in external relations, public affairs, or corporate communications at a senior leadership level.

Strong network and established relationships with government bodies, bureaucrats, and industry associations in Tamil Nadu.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive brand narratives across diverse business units.

Strategic thinker with crisis management expertise and a passion for sustainability.
