Director Product Management, Cart, Checkout & Product Automation
As theDirector of Product Management for Cart, Checkout, and Product Automation, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Albertsons most critical transactional and conversion-driving experiences. You will own the platforms and workflows that power how customers review, finalize, and complete their grocery purchasesensuring reliability, clarity, and speed at scale.
This role requires a strong background indigital commerce product management,transaction-heavy platforms, andautomation-led systems, along with the ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership across the organization.
You will collaborate closely with U.S. and India-based teams across Product, UX, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Merchandising, and Operations to deliver frictionless, resilient, and intelligent shopping experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision:

  • Define and execute theend-to-end product strategy for Cart, Checkout, and Product Automation platforms.
  • Drive alignment with global executive leadership, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver best-in-class transactional experiences.
  • Develop and evangelize along-term roadmap focused on conversion optimization, reliability, scalability, and automation.
  • Champion acustomer-first mindset, ensuring simplicity, trust, and usability are embedded in every product decision.
Cart & Checkout Product Execution:
Own critical purchase moments including:
  • Cart management and item lifecycle
  • Pricing, promotions, and savings application
  • Fulfillment selection (pickup, delivery, substitutions)
  • Payment, order placement, and confirmation flows
  • Partner with engineering to ensurehighly available, performant, and scalable cart and checkout systems.
  • Drive improvements in conversion, abandonment reduction, latency, and transactional reliability across channels (web and mobile).
Product Automation & Platform Capabilities:
  • Lead automation initiatives that streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention, and accelerate delivery across commerce platforms.
  • Partner with AI, data science, and platform teams to embedintelligent automation and decisioning into cart, checkout, and operational workflows.
  • Drive platform thinkingbuilding reusable, configurable capabilities that scale across banners, regions, and use cases.
Data, Metrics & Continuous Optimization:
  • Define and own success metrics such as conversion rate, checkout completion, cart abandonment, latency, error rates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage experimentation, A/B testing, and behavioral insights to continuously optimize experiences.
  • Translate product outcomes into clearbusiness impact narratives for senior leadership.
Leadership & Team Development:
  • Build, mentor, and scale high-performing product teams across India and the U.S.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the executive voice for Cart, Checkout, and Product Automation in senior forums and planning discussions.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 15+ years of experience inproduct management, with 5+ years in leadership roles within e-commerce, retail, grocery, or digital marketplaces.
  • Deep expertise inCart, Checkout, payments, promotions, and transactional platforms.
  • Proven track record of owning and scalinghigh-volume, high-availability commerce systems.
  • Experience drivingproduct automation, workflow optimization, or platform modernization initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, experimentation, and conversion optimization.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment across time zones.
