  • Lead meeting planner at location, coordinating high profile meetings and events within designated center.
  • Work with internal partners in catering, audio visual and facilities to meet the clients' expectations
  • Provide overall direction, coordination and ongoing evaluation of operations, delegate various meeting and events to team according to skill level
  • Lead in the career development of a diverse pool of Conference Center Planners and/or Coordinators and mold them as future leaders.
  • Work as "right hand" to the country lead, assisting with staffing coverage and day to day projects
  • Interact with various levels of senior management and LOB representatives to deliver outstanding service and a first-class experience
  • Ensuring financial success by keeping track of annual budgets, P&L statements, inventory, standard purchases and invoicing
  • Develop strategic business cases to constantly refine processes and achieve operational excellence
  • Spot check planning details for all conference meetings, providing feedback and direction
  • Ensure implementation of job aids, ensuring standards are followed to maintain high level of customer service
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing laws and other legal regulations as per company policies.
  • Ensure maximum utilization of space and track is regularly to achieve yearly utilization goals
  • Gather and analyze metrics monitoring business trends
  • Execute pre-conference and post conference meetings with stakeholders, when applicable
Qualifications

  • Seven plus years' banquet operations experience in 5-star hotels, Event Planning and Food & Beverage with high touch customer service
  • Effectively manage guest experience and expectations through a high level of tact and diplomacy
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and apply judgment to priority
  • Working knowledge of audio-visual systems
  • Flexibility to deal with a fast-paced, diverse environment
  • Proficiency with necessary technology- MS Office skills, knowledge of EMS booking system (a plus)
  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts covering conference center hours and locations
