Key missions of the position:

  • Transform the plant into Smart Connected Factory by performing the Design, Implement and Monitor Industry 4.0 Solutions improving upon an automated manufacturing process so that it can be as productive and efficient as possible
  • Solution conceptualization, Design, Development, Implement & Monitor the Industrial IoT projects
  • To deploy horizontally the existing Digitalization Projects in the plant
  • Automation of the existing Shop Floor processes with deployment of Robots/Cobots
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of NI based Automated Test Equipment (ATE)

Responsibilities
Industry 4.0 & Connected Factory
  • To study the existing shop floor processes and understand the workflow in the Plant
  • To collect the requirements from the manufacturing processes and define the problem statement
  • To discuss with the stakeholders and develop the Requirement Specification for the Automation Industry 4.0 Solution
  • To interact with the development team to adapt the existing Industry 4.0 solution against the requirements
  • To perform the gap analysis of user requirements vs Hardware/Software Functionality available in the Market
  • To derive an Implementation Plan for the Industry 4.0 Solution
  • To Collaborate with the stakeholders like Manufacturing, Process engineering, Quality and IT teams for the implementation
  • To develop the design specifications for the Automation Industry 4.0 Solution Hardware and Software
  • To design or co-ordinate with the developers for the solution during the development
  • To Procure the hardwares/Equipments related to the Solution
  • To setup/configure the Hardware & Software solutions at the shop floor and conduct the User Training
  • To ensure that Successful Pre-Trials and ON TIME GO LIVE of the Industry 4.0 Solution
  • To monitor consistently the performance of the manufacturing process automation for its efficient use and look for ways to improve
  • To provide technical support to manufacturing team during the troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis after the GO LIVE
  • To Train and support End Users on the solution functionalities and reports for a smooth transition
  • Responsible the ERP integration with the Automation Solutions
  • To Conduct Industrial IoT Demo’s and presentations to various level of stakeholders, visitors and customers.
  • To Collaborate with other business units to understand the best practices
  • To Manage the Budgetary Control for Capital Investment for the project and prepare the Return on Investment (ROI) for each capital investments
  • To explore and propose the ways and means to automate the manufacturing processes using Robots/Cobots
  • To report the progress of the Project in routine manner to the Management

Digitalization Projects
  • To study the existing digitalization projects and Corporate Tools available in the plant and draw a Roadmap for horizontal deployment
  • To perform the gap analysis of user requirements vs Hardware/Software Functionality
  • To interact with developers to adapt the solutions as per the Plant Requirement
  • To Manage the Budgets for the Horizontal deployment
  • To report out the progress of the deployment routinely to management

Automatic Test Equipments (ATE)
  • Support for development of Test benches using NI LabVIEW, PLC programming
  • PLC Programming modifications & improvements on existing Test Benches
  • Test Bench Troubleshooting & Support for the Existing Test benches available
  • Establish/Perform Preventive Maintenance as per Schedule
  • Plan & Maintain the Critical Spares for the test benches
  • Ensure Test Bench Availability for Production with target MTBF & MTTR
  • Calibration of Test Benches
  • Conceptualize and develop Low cost automation

Required Candidate Profile Education/Training: B.E / M.E with Electronics / Instrumentation /Control Systems as core subject / Mechatronics as second choice
Professional Experience: 8-10 Years of Experience in the Industrial Automation, Industry4.0 , Industrial IoT, Robotics
