HST Global in Bangalore is a division of the Hy-Vee IT team named as the Helpful Smiles Technology Center based in the West Des Moines, Iowa, US. Hy-Vee IT (HST) supports Hy-Vees business growth and modernization needs by accelerating the adoption of technology across enterprise operations. Hy-Vee offers employees a unique opportunity to transform technology at Hy-Vee, understand different markets and cultural dynamics, as well as the opportunity to work locally and remotely on IT challenges. Hy-Vee IT is looking to expand its capabilities in software development and delivery with roles such as agile, fullstack, and data analysts based out of the HST Global. HST Global will serve the entire IT organization across roles and functions.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to the design and delivery of high performing, scalable and secure platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve building, packaging, and deployment processes.
• Find and address performance issues.
• Automate infrastructure and application deployments.
• Focus on continuous improvement of our infrastructure through automation. Drive standardization of our infrastructure code pipelines.
• Create and contribute to technical documentation and diagrams.
• Collaborate with other engineers on the delivery of solutions.
• Champion infrastructure code quality and maintainability.
• May contribute to the evaluation of new technologies.
• Evangelize automation, and DevOps best practices to other teams in the department.
• May contribute to the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery, security and back-up and restore plan and policy.
• Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Production experience with cloud computing, and virtualization technologies such as GCP, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, VMware.
• Production experience with Linux server OS.
• Production experience with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, Concourse
• Production experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Go, or Kotlin.
• Production experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Production experience with automation and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Salt, or Chef.
• Production experience with observability and logging tools such as Nagios, New Relic, Splunk or DataDog.

A STRONG CANDIDATE WILL ALSO HAVE

• Experience identity provider integration such as OAuth, OIDC, SAML
• Experience with creating RESTful APIs
• Fundamental understanding of Postgres or SQL
• Fundamental understanding of web applications, and networking.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud technologies
• Familiarity with SDLC best practices such as Git branches / PRs / code reviews.

Experience and Education

Bachelor degree preferred, or relevant experience.
