Years of Exp 8+ Location: India Pune/Hyderabad Working hours: UK Business hours Devops + Splunk certification Mandatory JD for DevOps Observability SME Experience : Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT industry Role and Responsibilities As a DevOps Engineer, one should be able to analyze business needs and accordingly design, lead, drive and implement highly scalable and complex DevOps solutions. In the capacity of an DevOps Observability SME , the lead engineer is responsible for taking up lead roles in executing key engagements of rolling out Enterprise DevOps projects/programs/organizations. They need to build plans and help in implementing key engineering practices at team level. The lead engineer is also responsible for creating approach notes, making presentations to customers, and helping teams with DevOps adoption. The key responsibilities may involve some or all the areas listed below: SME for observability dashboards for Storage Block, File, Backup, Object Leading the POD for dashboards and observability Code development Developing, implementing and supporting observability solutions Support cloud Insight Global Solution for Storage devices. Including Splunk dashboards and automated reports Continue to provide enhancements and support to existing Splunk dashboards and additional Splunk dashboards per requirements, continue with new integrations and data enrichment Deliver a data lake solution where end-users can self service in terms of getting reports or dashboards dynamically, migrate Splunk dashboards form UAT to PROD. Splunk development / architecture, security certification Programming applications to be optimized to work within constructs of AWS public cloud environments Design, Develop, Monitor and maintain multiple CICD pipeline automation (DevOps) environments based on client requirements Assessing the current state of DevOps maturity of the client environment and design and propose new solutions Assess the improvement needs and accordingly suggest solutions for improved developer experience utilizing DevOps tool sets and automation Identifying new tools and processes to improve the devOps platform (onpremise/cloud) and automate processes Lead the team to ensure solution implementation and adoption with positive results Developing templates or scripts to automate everyday developer or operations functions Work closely with Development and Testing teams (both onshore and offshore) and design best possible devOps solution Collaborate and communicate well with stakeholders to drive transformations and improvements. Strong written and verbal communication, comfortable with varying (and reactive) daily responsibilities Preferred Professional Expertise Ability to be hands on in technology/programming environment, perform design and code reviews, conduct independent testing and handle overall change management processes and implementation activities and post implementation support. Experience in automated implementation/deployment of code in the AWS cloud infrastructure Experience in conducting enterprise level assessment prepare solutions strategic solutions for improved developer experience Contribute in requirements elicitation, creation of application architecture document and creation of design artifacts; deliver high quality codes, support activities related to implementation and transition Experience in interacting with external & internal teams and key stakeholders for solution adoption, issue resolution, critical communications, etc. Analyze and resolve issues to ensure high quality deliverables at each stage of SDLC as per guidelines and norms of organization. Experience of working with mixed onshore-offshore development teams Experience of working with the Scrum Agile, SAFe, Kanban development methodology Preferred Technical Expertise Working experience in Python, Ansible , Jenkins, SPLUNK (create dashboards, app, Studio) , Unix, rest API, solutions integrator Programming experience with Flask, Node.js, SQL, Java, Python, PowerShell, Groovy, Shell Script, YAML. Understanding of multi-tier application architectures and Unix/Linux work environment Strong background on infrastructure provisioning and maintenance within AWS cloud platform. Proficient with database types Postgress , MySql Experience with different database types InfluxDB , Prometheus , RDS and NoSQL Experience with storage systems Netapp, VMAX, PMAX, Pure from a programming perspective Ability to develop, test and maintain programming environments and architectural standards Experience with working in an agile development lifecycle and continuous integration processes using tools such as Git, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, Ansible and Splunk Experience on code quality assessment tools and integration with CI tool Experience or exposure to Test Driven Development Experience (Junit TestNG) Proficient in using NGNIX , Cognos, Ansible, & Terraform. Hands-on and extensive experience in applying end to end monitoring with number of different tools like Nagios, Prometheus, influxdb , Grafana, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, etc. (atleast 2) In-depth understanding of Log Aggregation, Container monitoring and Analytics using ELK or Splunk, Sysdig, Datadog, etc. Experience with container and container orchestration tools (Docker/Kubernetes) Proficient with Rest API and proven track record of projects completed. Proficient in SPLUNK with the ability to ingesting data , create custom dashboards and troubleshoot dashboards.
