JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a DevOps Intern who is excited about the implementation of the new-age Learning Experience Platform at Sapientury. As a DevOps intern, you shall play a key role in handling the releases of the SapienLXP applications, you'll also be responsible for implementing systematic solutions for consistent, verifiable, scalable, and automatic management of SapienLXP applications and infrastructure between open-source repositories, testing environments, and production environments.

Roles and responsibilities
CI/CD Assistance:

• Maintain the code base with version control using Git or Azure VCS
• Study the platform traffic and recommend services and load distribution plans.
• Establish a resilient CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins or Azure CI/CD
• Scaling the deployment based on traffic requirements

Systems Administration:

• Monitor the development and deployment environments using modern DevOps tools and APM solutions to provide optimal performances at all times.
• Troubleshoot the production issues and coordinate with DevOps for smooth running of the application.
• Perform weekly backups, identify & deploy cybersecurity measures and provide support to administrators & users.
• Continuously perform vulnerability assessment & risk management, Incidence management, and root cause analysis

Optimization:

• Participate in the continuous improvement and optimization of the automation model
• Work closely with the business team to understand the application prospects and scaling forecasts to plan fail-safe deployment.
• Required Qualifications Previous experience as a DevOps Intern or similar software engineering role
• Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
• Excellent understanding of Ruby, Python, Perl, and Java
• Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo
• Familiarity with software release management and deployment (Git, CI/CD)

• Preferred Qualifications
• BSc/B tech/M tech in Computer Science, Information Science or relevant field
• Customer-oriented with the ability to receive and use constructive criticism
• Operational (e.g. HA/Backups) NoSQL experience (e.g. Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis)
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation)
