Introduction: Support DevOps initiative to move our current Barclays Payments Merchant Services applications in a delivery model that supports Cloud, CI/CD, automated testing and deployment of infrastructure as code. Support all strategic programs of the Business including but not limited to Cloud Infrastructure Hosting, Maintenance and Configuration Create, Maintain and support Test environments to ensure high availability. Create, Maintain and support Test environments to ensure high availability What will you be doing To create, support and maintain CI/CD pipelines by following Bank strategic processes, tools and applying industry best practices Work alongside our Application teams and GTIS enterprise Architect to build strategic cloud environments in Openshift Cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code Automate Infrastructure Provisioning, Support and maintenance with a clear focus on the customer and user experience but minimising the cost impact to the business wherever possible Create Automated means to monitor platform health, security, and spend Ensure positive impact to Lead Time and Quality for all Release delivery through effective environment provisioning controls for the services managed by the team Lead, develop and collaborate a strong virtual team ethos bringing together disparate skill sets from across the business to shape change initiatives providing clear standards, approaches and tools Understand, own and role model Barclays values and behaviours creating an environment that supports and embeds the values Ensure appropriate communications take place to keep stakeholders aware and aligned of progress and direction in a timely and effective manner. What we\'re looking for: Minimum 2+ years experience performing design/build/support activities in Cloud - Openshift v4 Minimum 2+ years experience supporting Application Infrastructure that has various components Minimum 2+ years experience with CI/CD pipelines creation and maintenance in a DevOps environment Minimum 2+ years experience in creating & maintaining Chef Cookbooks. Skills that will help you in the role: Excellent Linux Skills & ability to on-board Applications in Openshift V3/V4 Containerization Platform Chef SME who can write Cookbooks, Wrapper Cookbooks and Configure Application & Web Servers as per the requirement Experience with Jenkins/Nolio, Git/Stash, Gradle, Maven build scripts, SonarQube Implementation, Veracode Implementation, CI/CD pipeline creation, and Service Mesh implementation using Istio. Banking experience with a good understanding of Various IT Infrastructure components - Servers, Good knowledge on VmWare Virtualization Basic Programming skills - Java, Python, Ruby, etc. Shell Scripting Good understanding on AppDynamics, ELK & ability to install them using Chef.
