What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do: We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us in HPE\xe2\x80\x99s Global IT Cloud Services Business Unit. In this role you will make your mark by focusing on automating, creating the pipelines and shared platforms/services that other teams will use to power HPE IT Cloud Services offering. You\xe2\x80\x99ll use Jenkins, Anchore, Vault, and DTR to create and deploy containers/pods into a Kubernetes/istio container orchestrator platform that is running a fleet of applications, micro services, MLOps/AI and DBaaS workloads. You\xe2\x80\x99ll focus on creating the automation to onboard/support multiple application teams and users along with running Cloud Shared Services as seamless and as reliable as possible. This will include refining and further building out the existing monitoring and logging infrastructure, which includes New Relic, Elastic, Prometheus, and Grafana. In addition to these responsibilities a key part of the role is making the experience better for all the application teams that rely on the IT Cloud Shared Services. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be working as part of a team of distributed DevOps engineers who build, automate and support various Cloud Shared Services platforms/services. We believe in fostering a respectful and collaborative environment where everyone can learn. As a candidate for this position: What you need to bring:
  • Experience writing automation code using CI/CD DevOps deployment pipelines preferably using Jenkins, MSR(DTR), and Vault for provisioning and operating infrastructure as a Code (IaaC).
  • Experience with REST APIs, microservices development, and support on Docker container, CaaS technologies, Kubernetes container orchestrators, and istio ingress service mesh.
  • Experience with CI/CD Deployment pipelines,
  • Familiarity with configuration management and automation frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, Terraform, etc
  • Python/nodejs/c#/Java/.NET & VB .NET scripting along with Git/TFS version/source control tool, Power BI, PowerApps, SharePoint, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB/MariaDB/MySQL.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, NAGIOS, Solarwinds, slack, etc.
  • Must have the ability to define own work and prioritize it within the program management structure using JIRA Kanban boards.
Education/Qualification:
A Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and 3 - 5 years of experience.
