DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a DevOps engineer, you will be working to support multiple AWS deployments, including legacy and new environments. There will be an explicit focus on uptime, security, and cost optimization across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with architects and managers to understand requirements.
• Work to automate repeatable tasks.
• Improve the observability into platform performance and issues.
• Implement security and data protection solutions.
• Improve functionality of existing systems.
• Assess and prioritize tasks.
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Write technical documentation.

Experience & Education

• 2+ years of work experience as a DevOps engineer.
• Worked on AWS a must and other cloud environments a plus.
• Expertise in terraform and infrastructure as code.
• CI/CD experience in multiple environments.
• Has worked on observability project.
• Experience with Kubernetes a must.
• Experience in performance optimization in SaaS platform.
• Prior experience working on SaaS platforms with more than 3 9s of uptime
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments is a plus.
• Undergraduate or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.

Technical Skills & Competencies.

• Expert programming in Terraform, Bash and Python.
• Experience with one or more public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) a must.
• Proficient in SQL, Relational databases, and performance optimization in RDMBS.

• Exposure to NoSQL.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Experience in build automation tools such as Gradle, Jenkins, Docker Images and Artifactory
• Experience with containerizing applications using Docker
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Travis CI, and Jenkins.
